Patient Info

  • What to bring to the first appointment

The first appointment is where we get to know one another, and a plan of action can be tailored to your situation. I will go over your history, perform a physical examination and review any investigations you may have had. As such, the appointment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I encourage you to come with a support person.

    Please bring along:

    • Referral Letter – this can be obtained from your general practitioner (valid for 12 months) or another specialist (valid for 3 months)
    • Medicare card
    • Private health fund membership details (if you have it)
    • Relevant investigations (blood tests and imaging)
    • List of regular medications
    • List of questions for the oncologist
  • Fees and Payment

Please contact reception for initial and follow-up appointment fees on (03) 9852 7301. Accounts are paid on the day of the appointment and the Medicare rebate can be claimed at the time of payment. For any infusion treatments (immunotherapy +/- chemotherapy) or inpatient admissions, please check your private health fund for level of coverage and if there are any gap fees for treatment in private hospitals. For public hospitals, this will be Medicare reimbursed and there is no out of pocket fees.
